The Full Story
MOMS
The MOMS (Moms On a Mission for Success) program is a pilot initiative designed to support and empower young mothers as they navigate the challenges of parenting and family life. The program creates a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free space where moms can connect, share experiences, and build meaningful relationships.

Through engaging gatherings, moms and their families listen, learn, connect, and play together. Group sessions focus on practical parenting strategies, addressing everyday challenges, understanding child development - including the importance of teaching reading and math skills - strengthening family bonds, and expanding effective household management skills. By fostering community and encouragement, the MOMS Program works to build confident mothers and strong families while working to end generational poverty and justice involvement. We focus on empowering moms and families to overcome obstacles.

Although our current pilot program has reached full capacity, we are seeking additional opportunities to expand our reach and serve more young mothers and families in the future.

Mission
The MOMS Program exists to empower young mothers by providing a supportive, judgment-free community where they can grow in confidence, strengthen their parenting skills, and build strong, healthy families. Through connection, education, and shared experiences, we nurture resilient moms who are equipped to create stable, loving homes for their children who have been impacted by the criminal justice system.
Justice Involved
-
Approximately 5 million U.S. children have had an incarcerated parent.
-
Of those, 4 in 10 children live in households where an adult has faced criminal justice involvement.
These children face significantly higher risks of developmental, behavioral, and mental health issues, including being over twice as likely to suffer from depression, anxiety, or ADD/ADHD compared to peers.
