The Re-Entry Program is a partnership between Just Dane, Dane County Human Services and the Employment and Training Association providing FoodShare Employment and Training Services (FSET) to ex-offenders. The results of this program lead participants to employment and skills training opportunities that enhance employability and lead to economic independence.

In collaboration with Just Dane's Journey Home Program our Case Manager focuses on helping Re-Entry participants address their employment and training needs through services and referrals focusing on motivation/life skills activities, employment search, and employer based skills training activities. Some of the areas we cover include:

Motivation / Life Skills
  • Career Exploration

  • Job Hunting

  • Successful Interviewing - How do you answer questions regarding past offenses

  • Role Playing - Interviews, what questions to ask

  • Dress for Success

  • Positive Attitudes and Behaviors

  • Adaptability - Recognize strengths and how to work with limitations/barriers

  • Overcoming Obstacles

  • Respect - Recognition of diversity and change

  • Reponsibility

  • Time Management

  • Money Management

  • Discrimination

  • Examinations - How to prepare for exams

  • Assistance with Computers and On-line Applications

  • Supportive Services Assistance

  • Referrals to Training Opportunities available through the Job Center and the community.

The Re-Entry Program works to promote program participants' self-sufficiency, self-esteem and reintegration into employment and the community.
