FoodShare Employment & Training Program (FSET)

The mission of the FoodShare Employment and Training Program is to ensure the most effective use of program resources to promote economic self-sufficiency for individuals receiving FoodShare benefits.

The FSET program, as designed in Wisconsin, consists of several employment and training components intended to enable FSET participants to move promptly into unsubsidized employment.

Working in close partnership with Dane County and Workforce Investment Act staff, EATA’s Participant Coordinators (PCs) strive to provide integrated services to program participants to address their unique employment and training needs and requirements.

Services provided include, but are not limited to:

  • Assistance with applying for jobs and identifying potential employers hiring in Dane County
  • Assistance with the development and use of resumes and cover letters
  • Referrals to Job Seeking Skills workshops
  • Assistance with educational and training needs
  • Access to computers, phones and jobcenterofwisconsin website
  • Information and access to employer on-site recruitments at the Job Center
  • Referrals to employer-targeted Job Fairs taking place at the Job Center
  • Information and referrals to State Testing for state employment opportunities
  • Assistance with job retention
